Happy Thanksgiving all!
Today, I’m thankful for my family, job and the home I’ve been able to build with the two.
I’m most thankful, though, for having had such a great example in my Grandpa Pedro Ramírez. He taught me many lessons in life, but even more in death. As I care for my own family, I’m reminded of his strength, mental resilience, love of a job well-done, and his fierce love for his family. Though he never told me “I love you, Jose,” he showed me time and time again by giving me a home and being a father to me (a Manasseh to his Jacob).
Please check out my reading of a poem I wrote about my Grandpa and how he used to ride horses:
Peace 🙏🏽
