Hello friends,
This week I’d like to share with you a few awards and honors I’ve received in the last few months.
Anthropocene nominated my piece “Chinga tu Madre or (Things That Didn’t Turn Out Quite As Planned)” for a Forward Prize, which honors excellence in contemporary poetry published in the UK and Ireland.
Black Mountain Press and The Halcyone Magazine selected me to be in the Sixty Four Best Poets of 2019.
And lastly, Bending Genres has selected my piece “Not Because They Hate Us” to be part of their anthology. Here’s a link to the anthology: The Bending Genres Anthology 2018 – 2019
I’m not one to brag, and the only purpose for this post is to thank you— my reader, my muse, my one-of-the-main-reasons-I-write.
Thank you for reading my work and continuing to do so week after week. Your readership is the only award and honor I could ever hope for.
Peace 🙏🏼
