      1. No worries, my laptop’s been through worse. However, now I’m seeing red dots everywhere. On second thought, that could be the effects of the wine lol
I guess I’m generous with my words, but greedy with my wine πŸ˜‰

  1. This is a superbly written story from the description of the beautiful locale to the layering of moods among the two main characters. I’ve been to Florence and it’s an unforgettable place for me, especially the Ponte Vecchio bridge over the Arno River.

Ze, your writing took me back to a similar encounter I had on Ponte Vecchio with a different ending, luckily. I was transported in time and place savoring the details of the location and emotions as I was meandering the shops on that bridge. The detailed accuracy and mood of yearning and longing made me relive the vivid memory of my encounter. That is the beauty and power of a brilliant story.

Thank you, Ze for another delightful story, for making that memory alive even for a moment! It’s a pleasure reading your writing every week. Please keep writing brilliantly, my friend and congratulations on getting published.

    1. Hi Vida, I’m glad that you enjoyed this story. Through it, I wanted to take the reader on a trip to Italy and show them the beauty of Florence and of love. Regardless of gender or sexual preference, romance can reach the depths of our hearts and sequester our imaginations. Thank you for your continued support and for your lovely way of complimenting my work. Cheers, my friend.

  2. Very true, Ze, your view about the fundamental nature of love/romance is the same across genders. Love is love no matter who the person you are loving. The depth and quality of that mutual love is what sustains and nurtures that relationship. You’ve weaved this theme in several of your stories and you’ve written them wonderfully! Till the next story…

    1. Thank you for always sharing your great perspectives with me. You are wise in your view of love. We all possess the ability to love and be loved, therefore it is up to us to express and receive that love to and from others. Have a nice weekend, my friend.

  3. It was really nice. The descriptions were quite amazing! I particularly liked how you made Dion’s percpective so acurate. It was as though he could understand everything and nothing. I think that my favourite “technique” was the use of may and might for things that are clearly right. I could see a part 2 in this. πŸ˜‰ As always great post and thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚
